About the Hall

Our hall was first built in 1922 to encourage activities in the area of Tetoora Road, a locality about 16 km south of Warragul. It was co-located with the local Tetoora Road primary school to ensure maximum usage. The hall been used for various activities since that time, such as a Sunday School, a venue for church services, post war dances, various meetings and social events. In the past 5 years it has had a resurgence with a monthly “Connecting Kids in the Community” board games afternoon, and our monthly family dances that co-incide with the full moon to assist with the journey home. We have weekly yoga classes, a walking club, and various ad hoc meetings and external hires. Funding from the Baw Baw Shire and state government in 2015 enabled refurbishment of the ceiling and walls. Next project will be refurbishing the floor and arranging heating in the main part of the hall. The meeting room/kitchen area had a complete makeover in the late 1990s, including the addition of heating, and makes an excellent meeting room, cooking class venue and yoga studio.
