About the Hall
The hall has been used at various times for boxing, gymnastics, balls, collections of rates, police court, picture theatre, the RSL and billiards along with a host of other community activities.
The original hall underwent some major renovations throughout its lifetime including a reconstruction in 1961 costing £8500. It served the community well until funding was secured (both state and local government) for a $1.7 million facility to replace the existing hall)
The Premier at the time, Jeff Kennett, made the funding available int April 1988 and the original hall was demolished after a farewell function in November 1998.
The new complex was officially opened on Monday December 6, 1999 by the Hon. Robert Cameron MP Minister for Local Government and Workcover. More information on the hall website.
