ABOUT YOUR HALL:

The Hopetoun Memorial Hall was erected to commemorate those who served in World War One. It was officially opened by Senator Elliott on the 16th April 1923. The tablet on the front of the hall was unveiled by bereaved mothers. The hall is the centre of our community where a dedicated committee maintain and run the hall. From banquets to weddings, dances, concerts to ANZAC day and Remembrance Day services, the hall currently houses memorials to those who didn’t return home after the wars. A central hub for past activities include picture theatre, young farmer functions, debutante balls it has many wonderful memories of bringing our community together and we are looking forward to celebrating our 80th there this weekend.
