ABOUT THE HALL:
The hall was built in about 1923 and was added to in the 40s or 50s. It is a weatherboard hall with a stage, a store room behind the stage, a main hall and the extension, which is the supper room, plus the toilets and foyer. It was built on land donated by a local, and built by locals. We are a small farming community and the hall hasn’t changed much in all these years. We applied for a grant a couple of years ago and had the interior painted and some of the windows repaired, an extra window put in, and the toilets done up. This really refreshed the look of the hall. Over the years the hall has seen regular dances, weddings, parties and all sorts of functions. Over the past few years we have our annual Potato Festival, and Indoor Woodchop, Trivia Nights, Casserole Nights (where everyone brings a casserole and a sweet and we all share), and our annual Christmas BBQ.
