EVENT DATE: Saturday 12 November 2016
Our family dance follows the tradition of dances at the Tetoora Road Hall in the past where they are scheduled to co-incide as closely as possible with the full moon to assist with the journey home. Our first session (prior to supper) is child friendly with a variety of fun and energetic dances. After supper (please bring a plate) the children settle in for a movie in the supper room while the adults are taught some ballroom dances by experienced dancers. Our event is strictly non alcoholic to ensure a fun time is enjoyed by all.

ABOUT THE HALL
Our hall was first built in 1922 to encourage activities in the area of Tetoora Road, a locality about 16 km south of Warragul. It was co-located with the local Tetoora Road primary school to ensure maximum usaged. It has been used for various activities since that time, as a Sunday School, as a venue for church services, post war dances, various meetings and social events. In the past 5 years it has had a resurgence with a monthly “Connecting Kids in the Community” board games afternoon, our monthly family dances that co-incide with the full moon to assist with the journey home. We have weekly yoga classes and walking club, and various ad hoc meetings and external hires. We have recently received funding from the Baw Baw Shire and state government to refurbish the ceiling and we are currently improving the walls. Next project will be refurbishing the floor and arranging heating in the main part of the hall. The meeting room/kitchen area had a complete makeover in the late 1990s, including the addition of heating, and makes an excellent meeting room, cooking class venue and yoga studio.
