Today marks the beginning of the 5th instalment of Regional Arts Victoria statewide project Home is Where the Hall is.

Launched in 2011, this program was established to showcase the life and activity that takes place in and around regional halls. The first year saw halls celebrate old time dances, fashion shows and town milestones – you can even watch videos of the events.

The subsequent years saw regional towns showcase the people, the annual events and their halls in a fashion that has continued to grow.

In 2014 we welcomed Tasmanian halls to the program as we partnered with Tasmanian Regional Arts.

2015 sees the Home is Where the Hall is program expand to Tasmania and South Australia through Country Arts South Australia. This is the first time the Home is Where the Hall is program will be rolled out in all three states as we join to celebrate community halls is the month of November.

Registrations are open until Monday 30 November 2015. We look forward to seeing how you celebrate your community halls!
