VICTORIA, Moonambel, Pantomime- ‘CINDERELLA’

EVENT DATES: 1 & 2 November

The Moonambel Community Theatre Company put on at least 2 shows every year & are a very talented bunch of perfomers, ably led by 2 ‘ostensibly retired’ opera singers. They have played to packed houses/halls for the past 10 years! These are their ‘retirement’ years not ‘working years that I’m referring to. Both spent many years working over in London & thus have brought their considerable expertise here to Moonambel. This show promises not to disappoint once again! The proceeds of their raffle will go towards our hall. Visitors come from near & far to see these wonderful performances. They are all very much ‘tongue in cheek’- very clever indeed

Moonamel Mechanics2

The history of the Moonambel Hall- formerly Mechanics Institute Reserve is documented in the book ‘If these Walls could talk’ by Pam Barawagnarth – unable to spell her surname- sorry, but she is well known.
The Pyrenees Shire has been very good to the hall committee & we have just had a brand new kitchen built. The first hall was washed away in the floods of Nov./Dec. 1933 so this hall was opened in 1937.
The hall has played host to all the usual community activities, such as school concerts; church luncheons/teas; cabarets; wedding breakfasts ; trivia nights; exhibitions; life’ drawing classes; markets etc. for more inforamtion about the hall contact Jill Hunter secretary/treasurer 54672211 /
